Westley very nice about Coley in FL Paper today.

I notice Luton manager referred to us as having the most points in the division (heavily implying Luton were the better team).

As has been said Wycombe and Ainsworth were pure class (again).

I just hope that we can have Jimmy Dunne on loan for another season then Burnley FC can either have him in their first team as a regular or let us sign him up permanently for FREE on a TEN YEAR CONTRACT!:theband:

ps Jimmy Dunne LOVES ASFC!
:skiss:

Without being disrepectful to other players, for me,once he cemented his place at CB,we became a team that was hard to beat.
Great defender and reader of the game.
The amount of clean sheets will probably back this up.
Great career ahead of him if he stays injury free and will take playinng at an higher level with ease, hopefully with Acci !!!

:) Gareth Ainsworth top bloke hope Wycombe follow Stanley up
Quote:

Gareth Ainsworth said his players were punished for a below par performance by a top quality Accrington side at Adams Park on Saturday afternoon.
The league leaders moved a step closer to the title with a comprehensive 0-4 win over the Chairboys and added another twist to the race for the final automatic promotion spot.
Despite the defeat, results elsewhere mean that Wanderers remain in third and know that two wins will see them promoted.
Although Ainsworth felt that although luck didn’t perhaps deserve to be on their side this afternoon, he is confident that a big team effort can see Wanderers over the line.
“Lady Luck is smiling on us today because we didn’t deserve any fortune as we didn’t work hard enough,” he said speaking after the game.
“The boys are devastated in there, but all I will say is that Accrington are worthy champions of this league.
“There hasn’t been another team in this league that has come here and done what they did and that is why they will be champions.
“They were outstanding; the way they closed, the way they took their chances and defended resiliently, and we were below par today so that combination has ended up as a 0-4 defeat.
:)

Wasn't there, but, judging from the highlights, he stopped us from going behind in the early stages of the game!!

We may not have scored as many goals as other teams, but no team has conceded fewer than Stanley.
Surely one of the main reasons we are currently top of the league.
Not only did Aaron lay the foundation for Saturdays win, he laid the first brick on the 5th August 2017.
All hail Chappers! - the most improved player in our team of champions.

Probably my favourite ground to visit when Stanley come down south. Unfortunately becoming my wife's carer has prevented me seeing any games this season so now fulltime armchair nail chewer ! Pleased for all Stanleyites witnessing the Reds' heroics and only a little mega jealous am not among you. Hope you have got the 'champions' song ready for the last 3 games (silly question ! ).

Two great saves from Chapman early on and then we bossed the rest of it with four great goals. Struggled to choose between Scotty Brown who seemed to be everywhere as well as scoring a wonder goal and Jackson who scared the living daylights out of Wycombe with his pace for MoM. Had a lovely chat with a Wycombe fan who came to shake my hand on the way back to the car. Told him I hope they go up with us and not just because it's one of the easiest grounds for me to get to.
