His 19 clean sheets helped us win promotion.
One of our team who can definitely cut-it in league 1.

Let's hope he signs on then, currently out of contract!

I see O Sullivan has been released by Carlisle.

I bet with the right management he'd cut it in league One.

We know Coley has a favouring towards ex players, who know the club and what is expected here.

O'Sullivan released, can we afford him now?
Tom Aldred, under contract at Bury but out of favour and played 15 games on loan at Motherwell
Shay McCarten, only 15 games for Bradford and the manager quit this morning
Matty Pearson, only 8 games for Barnsley last season ...
Jimmy ryan, only 10 games for Blackpool
Bobby Grant tends to be used as a sub at Fleetwood

Depends on who we lose I suppose, but I wouldnt be surprised to see one of these return.

Ryan Scicluna (malta international midfielder) was on trial last summer but returned to Turkey as he developed a knee injury. Looked good and said that he hoped to return again this summer

Jimmy Ryans played 36 games and got 3 goals last season .
Watched him against Wigan and Blackpool won 2-0, he was the best player on the park !!!
Been told hes not on massive money either, interesting one that !

I think you’ll find that the gem you already have called Jordan Clark is a far better player.
If he can’t cut it at Carlisle why would you think he’d be any good with you in League One ?
I was always mystified when he started ahead of Clark.

I really don’t understand this craving for ex players.
There’s better about - just got to get out there and seek them.

Ref Jimmy Ryan, i used Wiki for a quick reference, hadnt been updated for sometime apparently!

From a fan perspective most have no issue with ex players coming back. In most cases they were our best players at the time and rightly moved on to progress. If it doesnt work out for them for whatever reason (billy, hughesy, sean) then the door is open.

From Coleys point of view, he knows what he's getting with an ex player and knows that he doesnt need to spend months beating them til they understand whats required here. Id argue theres a better player in every position in league 2 than what we have, but talent isnt the only requisite here. Character and determination and belief can carry teams to a title, as proved by Coley numerous times

Agree that Clark is better than o’sullivan.

Coley seems to do very well finding new players as far as I can see with my relatively brief time as a fan. Beckles, Jackson, Big Ben, the Don, Johnson, Harvey in the last couple of years combined with very good loanees etc

Nowt wrong with getting old players back you can trust.

No doubt at all in my mind Clark to me is far better.
