The question has to be asked and the fans deserve an answer - what is happening re Rodney ?

Re: Retained list 2019/20

I dont think we 'deserve' an answer at all. We all know Billy's issues and all we can do is respect his privacy and leave him to it.

But I'd wager that he's at least 2 months away if he returns - we should plan for life after Kee

We've been told all we need to know, why do you think us fans 'deserve an answer' - we're not entitled to know everything that's going on with any player, if anyone deserves anything I'd say it's Billy who deserves his privacy as would any other individual who is having personal issues

I’m not talking about privacy. I’m talking about football.
If he’s not coming back then we move on.
If he might be coming back then does he get a squad number.
If he’s definitely coming back - when ?

The club clearly said in their statement about Billy that as soon as they have an update, they will let the fans know so I'm guessing that, as yet, they don't have any more information to share. Meanwhile, all we can do is be patient & stop trying to push the issue

I think every Stanley fan would love to be able to put an arm round the man and tell him about the affection, admiration and respect we have for him. Must be a lonely battle he is fighting and he needs time to come through the tunnel. Thoughts 'n prayers Billy.

“Another” in the context of our overall recruitment this year. It seems out of kilter with the odd individual gamble in previous years or untested loans that can be returned.

Coleman was reported as saying recruitment had been challenging, whilst my post was not a dig at the individual player, I don’t see it being an upturn on those already signed, but feel free to take my post as you see fit.

In the past we have IMHO relied to much on loans 1 year we had 8 and you can only have 5 in the matchday squad we have 2 in who look promising the other signings are a mixed bag of youth and lost souls looking to kickstarting thier own careers and they are what we can afford big squad now maybe 1or2 going the other way.

Re: Retained list 2019/20

Interesting signing!!!
Watched him numerous times last season and is a winger that started playing off the front man.
A bit of Kayden Jackson about him, quick and strong but very unpredictable.
1 in 3 suggests he not prolific and very “off the cuff”player.
More effective when he doesn’t have any thinking time.
Could become a success with a bit of luck, just hope he hits the ground running.
Coley has a lot of polishing to do as jumping three leagues is very difficult!!!

could be another windass or then could be another nolan. its a wait and eventually see if these ex non league lads can make the jump in divisions. at least they are our own and won,t be leaving us in the new year like players in the past.

It seems the new way of young players opting for experience in the lower leagues in lieu of under 23s and reserve football.

Re: Retained list 2019/20

Dont forget we have the under 23 team this year so at least some of them will be playing every week, so in theory should be match fit to step up when required. The problem in the past was that if they werent good enough to play weekly they didnt play at all, so if they were needed they looked even worse!

Stanley viewing a CB today with a view of a deal.
Coley extremely confident, been tracking a while.

Rodgers possibly on way out. Coley happy to listen to offers for permanent or loan if wages are covered. Likely to drop to National League with interested clubs.

seems a player who looked to have a good career infront of him but something somewhere has gone wrong. still young enough to go somewhere to kick start it but even the national league could be a step too far. didn,t really excell at hartlepool on a short loan last season.

With today's 3 loan signings the squad if you count the 3 lads out on loan and Billy it currently stands at 37 players, so if the results are on the poor side in spells to me the management team have a lot of rotational options so no reasonable excuse to play the same 11.
