Excellent game tonight and really good performance from the entire Stanley squad. McIntyre deserved his MotM but the whole team was very good and played some exciting, attacking football.
Good tactic to give the captain’s armband to Coyle; he was no less effective in midfield but restrained his wilder tendencies.

Is it?.........That's very unusual. TV rights for the FA Cup aren't the same as the League games in the EFL. Doubt very much it's on iFollow. I've got me ticket.........

I might be wrong but I doubt it Joe, think the rules are different for fa cup games being shown on ifollow

Re: iFollow and Stanley

It doesn't look as if it's on video. Strangely, on the browser I normally use for iFollow, it says 'You already have access to this match', but on a different browser I'm told that 'This match is currently not available to purchase.' I've checked that I've not accidentally paid more than the usual £2.50/£10. It doesn't matter much to me though, because I'll be at the match anyway.

Just looking on the EFL website it says FA Cup games will not be covered.

Watchdog 14-11-2023 12:56

Re: iFollow and Stanley

Bit of a nuisance that the EFL cover every single game in all league and competition games for audio but pick and choose for live video.

Mr T 14-11-2023 13:31

Re: iFollow and Stanley

EFL don't pick and choose.

This is as FA Competition and the FA (not the EFL) hold the rights.

Therefore the game isn't on Ifollow as that's an EFL platform.

Only way to watch live is at the ground.

Cheers Mark, I have not understood what I have read :o :o

Because I did not see audio, I thought it was visual.....

Just thought that the replays might have been different :)

Could it be worse than Saturday?
Without wishing to jinx matters, I have to applaud the club and its staff for how well the pitch held up on Saturday given the amount of rain.
In days gone by (not so long ago) Jack Nolan would have needed a canoe down the right wing.

Re: iFollow and Stanley

I've just received this from the EFL:

From next season (2024/25), a new rights agreement between the EFL and Sky Sports comes into effect, making Sky Sports the home of the EFL. With over 1,000 EFL fixtures live on Sky Sports via Sky and NOW each season, iFollow will cease to offer domestic live video coverage of EFL matches.

The update comes as we begin a five-year rights deal with Sky Sports and will see significantly enhanced exposure for all EFL clubs.

We’re excited for the groundbreaking partnership with Sky Sports to begin, with fans set to access more action than ever before from across the Championship, League One, League Two, every game of the Carabao Cup and Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

Thank you for being a valued part of our community, and we can't wait to continue bringing you the best of EFL football next season on Sky Sports via Sky and NOW.

So basically more lunch time & tea time kick-offs in league 2, £12 minimum per match instead of £10, with an extra camera if you’re lucky.

Mr T, do you know if there will be a link to the coverage of games from the Stanley website? As there is now for iFollow? For example, for midweek games fans can currently select to buy video coverage of the games from the Stanley "match" page of the website?

Re: iFollow and Stanley

That is that then from iFollow I presume??

I have to say that it did allow me to watch some games, whilst on holiday, or when I could not attend to to other commitments and it was an OK service....

Jumping and buffering were the two main issues for me :(

Let us hope that the next generation is better :)

Live footy is the only way, but not always possible for some....

In two words "not sure";

It's still be debated and the techky people are working on it. There's an EFL media/commercial conference today where I'm sure these questions will be asked.

I'm sure all clubs will want a direct link from their website to their game; but it will need assistance from Sky Sports.

It normally allows you to buy a Video Match Pass as opposed to an Audio Match Pass when live match coverage can be viewed. When its Audio only, the Video Match Pass tab isn't shown.
