Without grass roots and lower leagues the players won't be produced. Without players you don't have a game. It will take something major to happen but as soon as it does (as with cultural sites) the government will step in. Too controversial not to ......... and a vote catcher. |

Re: 2020/21 Squad
Don't usually agree with Gillingham manager but he was fuming that nobody from the EFL insisted that Fleetwood,s staff and players were made to have a test after playing us on Tuesday and travelling from a tier 3 area. Joey Barton insisted that Fleetwood as a club followed all the protocol and guidance they probably did but it fly's in the face of the public,s health guidelines.

Yes the inconsistancies on whether games go ahead are hard to understand. nothing to do with stanley but barnet called off their home game with hartlepool a week ago with 1 positive tested player. funny how they managed to play a very winnable fa cup game yesterday with either 4 or 7 positive depending on the source you read. funny how when money is concerned a different viewpoint comes up. |
Re: 2020/21 Squad
As the club has said it has shut first team activity down for 2 weeks presumably the games in that period will be called off, if that's the case the next game would be FA cup 1st round 7th November, or do the rules say different because nothing has been said about the next 3 league games?

Re: 2020/21 Squad
Given that we can't lock the entire squad up in a five-star hotel for the entire season, the way England cricket did it, and that the damn thing is so highly infectious, it's inevitable that someone in the team/management group is going to pick it up every now and then from family, friends or neighbours. It's then very likely, especially if the first person doesn't show symptoms immediately, to catch more of the group in double-quick time.
I have to say I can't believe they haven't knocked pile-on goal celebrations on the head though, if ever there were ways to ensure you pass something on, that's surely one of them  |
Re: 2020/21 Squad
