Awful goalkeeping.
Feel sorry for the lad but this isn’t the keeper being talked of for a major move.

Pity 2-0 is flattering for them the sad thing is we have played quite well but some big players missing especially Baxter.

Not really a 0-2 scoreline, but we did not do enough to win.............

Too many injuries and too many passengers..............

Savin is nothing like as good as he was at the start of the season, since his return it's hard to believe that he was being looked as one of the best in the league.

think with savin its inexperience we need an old head, for next season,

Re: Sunderland match thread.

Hard to take positives from any defeat but with a lot of second choice players in our side against on paper possibly the best side in the league we had some good individual performances, Hughes outstanding, Savin up until his mistake had done well, unlucky with the Smyth and Rodgers effort play like that Saturday and we'll beat Wigan and let's be honest most had written us off before a ball was kicked tonight.

Problem is mistakes by keepers usually result in a goal for the opposition, if Baxter can't play again it's upto the coaching staff and older players to put an arm around him and encourage the lad it's a confidence thing he doesn't suddenly become a bad player.

‘ Passengers ‘ Joe ?..
Is that a euphemism for ‘ not fit for purpose ‘..
Never seen as many aimless passes which caused the ball to come straight back at our defenders for a long time !.
Some in this team are devoid of talent and skill and will just not do .
The result was inevitable.

( in my humble opinion of course ! ).

Not surprisingly, given the relative wealth of the clubs, there was a division’s difference between the two sides. Stanley’s defence did really well to hold them off but, after conceding what looked like a soft goal, the result was inevitable.

Could anyone please get a false positive PCR test and get a fortnight’s rest for the team?

Rodgers, Nottingham, Hughes, Burgess, Barclay, McConville, Smyth, Charles and Butcher who came on would all get in the 18 so I presume Morgan, Phillips and Savin must be the " passengers "

They were better all over the pitch tonight and on the bench as well. Not surprising really given the player budgets. Don't think that Sunderland team would fair too well in the Championship......but then it will have load of money thrown at it. A real opportunity for Lee Johnson to further his carreer next season when they go up.

I,ll just leave this here Stanley's wage bill £1490000 approximately Mageady,s salary £988,000 a year.

It's the same every week. Tonight is just an extreme case. I'm not surprised at the result. Our performance was better tonight. We were poor around their box and couldn't finish the few chances we created. We need our injured players back available before we can expect to win games. They kept Dion very quiet and well marshalled. Phillips has adjusted to this level yet and Morgan is too slow at the moment. Butcher is a real talent. Savin will get better. Very poor marking for both goals......our defenders need a good coaching session.........just thoughts. A few more points will see us safe, but looking at the run in we wo 't have many chances to get them...
