Peterborough away thread.
Assuming no return for any injured personal one enforced change with Charles away, so stick with same side McConville upfront with Smyth could be interesting hopefully will make kick off as appointment at hospital at 14-10pm. Wife,s driving so she,ll have to put her foot 🦶 down on the accelerator instead of me.

Re: Peterborough away thread.
Following the players Zoom meeting this week with us fans there won't be any injured players returning today.........Seamus doubtful for Easter games and Colby only an outside chance of malking one of the Easter games......all quiet on Joe....maybe a chance for today or Easter.....
|
Re: Peterborough away thread.
No one back today. Seamus progressing well started jogging no reaction so fingers crossed.
Dion best be involved midweek or else depriving us of his services makes no sense. Could be tough today. |
Re: Peterborough away thread.
personally think if we get a point today its a great result.
|
Re: Peterborough away thread.
need sean to step up to the plate today.
|
Re: Peterborough away thread.
Expected XI today, Paul in for Dion and Joe Maguire keeps his place :)
Good to see Barclay getting a good run of games :) :) :) :) |

Re: Peterborough away thread.
Smyth I would have thought, but for me, it would be Butcher, or Burgess :)

3 minutes in and 0-0, what a boring game ;)

Re: Peterborough away thread.
Awful truly awful defending
|
Re: Peterborough away thread.
Burgess in no mans land for the second, just standing there after the first shot.
|
Re: Peterborough away thread.
Switching off. This is painful.
|
Re: Peterborough away thread.
Truly awful Second goal lost possession wide open to counter attack long day ahead just gifted one of the better sides a 2 goal lead and probably the 3 points.

Re: Peterborough away thread.
Three at the back clearly does not work at this level for us! Could say it is only two and a half at the back because Hughes has been so slow and out of position. More proof, a third goal just conceded, as I am typing this, wide open on the flanks!
Commentator just said he is surprised Accy are sticking with three at the back because they are wide open! |
Re: Peterborough away thread.
Well we just aren't at the races today and that's the entire team but isn't the first time we have had a hiding here don't think any missing players would make a difference being completely outplayed all over the park damage limitation now for goal difference.

Re: Peterborough away thread.
Played a bit better since the formation change.
Twenty eight is correct with his list of six players who would definitely make a significant difference! IMHO Four four two is the regular formation to play. I have said before that 4-4-2 ‘basically’ becomes 2-4-4 when you attack. This maintains the central core of the team structure down the centre of the pitch. The two wide midfield players have to be mobile and be able to play like wingers. The two wide defenders have to be good tackling full backs with the mobility to get forward too! The six down the centre of the pitch don’t need to wander to far, thus maintaining the core of the formation. Of course ‘set plays’ are slightly different when your big defenders can take up receiver positions in the opponents penalty box. |

OMG...3-0 down...I slept in and just awoke at HT..Dam, should go back to bed.

I’ve been more disappointed with the likes of Hughes and Burgess than the likes of Morgan and Rodgers.
|
Re: Peterborough away thread.
Disgraceful defending.
|
Re: Peterborough away thread.
International call up was great for Dion but a shame if he doesn't even get a game when we could really use him! By the way the pitch looks dreadful.

Its hard, but irrelevant of the poor result I am trying to look on the bright side and think how lucky we are to have a league football Club and a Chairman who cares. Onwards and upwards to the next game.

I have to agree with you andy, I've just watched Coley's after match interview and I think that it great that he didn't hide behind our injuries and was honest in his summary overall and praised Peterboro and how well they played also he wasn't critical of any of our side who must be feeling very down at the moment and need encouragement and not a brow beating.
