Sorry, Andyd, nothing against the lad and wish him well but Russell is a long way off being ready for league football. He seems slow to react, slow to think, and even slow to move.
I’d rather one of Stanley’s academy players is given a chance if you just want someone to pass the ball sideways to the nearest player, whether or not he’s marked by two opponents. Of the two, Uwakwe had more promise, I thought.

Scully, or Perritt will do equally well - if not better, in my opinion :)

My fears regarding Russell were well founded.. its not a question of confidence , he's not up to League standards!.
As for Mr Magoo... (well Madleys eyesight is apparently on par with Magoo's !) .. what did everyone expect from him other than another abject refereeing performance !.
KTF!..

Totally agree about gifting them the goals but not about Russell being upto standard, he,s a young lad on loan hasn't really played much was asked to come in tonight for Butcher in a tense game for both sides and apart from his bad pass for the goal he showed some good touches got in some good forward positions and really should like a few others have scored, will go on
to have a good career somewhere good luck to the lad
.

And I hope he does Andy ... as I do for all the young Stanley players,
All I tried to say , quite kindly I thought, was that in my opinion based on what we have witnessed of his play so far, is that he is not up to League standards ... perhaps I should have added YET !.
Just a word here about John Coleman. Again in my opinion he has worked his wonders with a squad of Old timers, young hopefuls,
and those needing to develop their craft . Whilst doing this his team have accrued more points than perhaps few of us expected a few months ago which gives us the confidence to expect even greater things in the season to come.
So , at this moment I'm raising a rather large Bombay Blue and Tonic to John, Jimmy and all the backroom Staff.

I too would love our own youngsters in front of loanees, but Coley and co watch the training everyday and Russell must show something as I,m pretty sure he's been in most match day squad's, next season it would be great to assemble a squad with less loanee,s because out of eight this season Allen ineffective went back Sangare might has well not have bothered, Uwakawe, Russell, Cassidy all pretty average so 3 have been worth having, hard job management.

It's good to see most are now respecting each others opinion, as for my opinion, from 5,000
miles away, I would take Stanley doing this well any season and I do love reading all your reports/comments so thanks all. A final comment, due to covid, I've decided to finally hang the old boots up after 60 years of kicking the leather.

Seeing as we are destined for mid table, I too would love to see God give some youth players a run over the next 2 games... Also, was shocked to leave home for work at HT when we were 2 up and 20 minutes later (at work) check score on phone and 2-2 ..WTF!!!??? Next time I look its 2-3 and into stoppage...started cursing and nearly threw phone at nearest apple tree. It wasnt till lunch time that I had settled down and re checked other scores and found that we ended 3-3..cheered me up somewhat.

especially bobby madley. walks away from the premier league over some incident that no one seems to know what it was. then after a time creeps back to do div.1 and 2 games. its as if they cannot do without the bloke. mind you is it the dearth of replacements that allow him and kettle to carry on year ofter year. after watching some national league streaming this season i must admit that kettle is better than i thought he was in comparison to some young kids that do there games. as for madley he was always thought of by local referees he was inferior to his brother andy when he got into the premier league.

well this end of season has gone from me wanting it to end a few games ago to just wanting it to continue. the last few games are the reason we love football and everything it brings with it. wherever stanley do finish its been a bloody good season apart from not being there to watch.

Hopefully back watching next season Coley hopefully wants to keep the bulk of the squad together and he has a list of targets. Presume Sean will be offered a deal can see the likes of Maguire, Ogle and Mohammed being realeased. We will trigger Dion,s year clause and hopefully stave off any interest unless it's a offer neither player or club can refuse could give it a real go next season.

Sean under contract until next year.
Surprised about Ogle as looked ready to break through and would have been a better option than Maguire for those games he played a few weeks ago.
Zehn's been unfortunate with a niggling injury as he would have certainly featured towards end of season.

Sama on a 2 year deal worries me.....

Barclay and Rodgers are good enough squad players and don't command hefty wages so no issues with either of those staying.
