Coley explained why Colby didn't take a penalty in his interview, apparently was struggling with his hamstring & could hardly walk by then

The double edged sword of using substitutes, 54 minutes double change bringing on Charles and Leigh, three minutes later a forced change Rodgers struggling brings on Perritt. So he has done what people on here including me has used his subs, only to end up with Nolan struggling for the last quarter and saying Colby could barely walk. Your dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.

Didn’t see the game but the only good thing to come out of that result was Coley’s response.

so the 3 players he mentioned to me were not fit enough to play surely? so why were they playing, seems we will lose them on sat thats a fair possibility.

might be miles off the mark but i do think over the last few seasons some players attitudes in cup and trophy games is below what we get in league games. seems well if we win its fine but not totally bothered if we do not. if you cannot outscore a complete basket case club in normal time there must be something wrong either in the players ability or their will to win.

Well Coleman is always on about a great set of lads squad all on the same page and would run through a wall for you, seemingly a real U-turn in last night,s post match interview we all know sometimes straight after a game managers say things emotional but I didn't get that last night it sounds to me there is not as harmonious a squad as we are led to believe. Maybe if you know your only getting a game in a cup competition you sulk if that's the case we are in trouble because strength in depth should mean that exactly, you can't in the real world pick the same 11 for 46 games be great if you could.

there has been many players in the past who apart from coming on as sub 5 minutes before the end that we have only seen in league cup and trophy games. the problem is that they know they will not be picked to start the next league game. thats the impression i get and would be nice to see the total stats on this since coley came back.

We were outplayed in midfield last night by a 17 year old kid (Harry Vaughn) who must have weighed about 8 stone wet through and just over 5' in height. Dribbled past our lads with ease.
