Are we afraid of losing anybody?

Absolutely agree with left back and striker but I would also like an experienced keeper as back up for the young talented keeper's we have Charles hopefully will be shipped out.

Re: January Window??

There may be some clubs willing to ‘buy’ Charles if only to offset their tax liability but to leave him sitting on a bench or used in training. To some owners, players are just ‘assets’ after all.
But if no one does offer to buy him, I don’t know if he’s wise enough to swallow his pride and to show us and the rest of the league what he can do on the pitch for the last three months of the season.
Of course, if he does have a change of mind, he’s made his task of getting back into and staying in the team very difficult.
Is he up to such a challenge?

Left Back.
Experienced Centre Half. Someone who can organize the back line.
Striker

possibility of a NO on all counts. we now know why others did not take the gamble on him before stanley did. certainly had the ability but not the character needed.

Big blow losing Joel for the season, if you add Dion, plus the very, very high chance of Colby going, I think we will need some additions in the striking department in a couple of weeks?? :)

andyd 27-12-2021 15:45

Re: January Window??

Charles could be one of the first deals in the window with Bolton set to offer between £250000 and £300000, will be advantageous to us if this his the case hopefully nobody else to leave unless the money and the move is right for the player, incoming Coleman says he has a few targets striker a must for me and possibly left back although Amankwah played well in that position yesterday.

VALAIRIAN 27-12-2021 16:29

Re: January Window??

Agree with you Andy, sorry to see Dion go and the way it ended was not good, but the sooner it is sorted the better and if we get anyway near that amount - great :)

Left back and strikers - definitely, Dion, Joel and more than likely Colby gone - that leaves.......

:) :) :)

going off boxing day, i think we got the best squad since our league return. colby will be missed but if he goes the dosh we get should buy an adequate replacement i think.

Kayden hardly ever Tweets but he made no bones that he was looking to buy Coley and Jimmy's 20th Anniversary Programme on Twitter last week. Aroused my suspicions.

He had to address rumours he was looking to leave circa February last year.

I saw Billy and Coalville last Monday. They lost 1-0 at Barwell.

It's probably as well that I didn't go yesterday; they were playing at Rushall, less than 30 miles away, and lost 5-1. Billy was missing with COVID. Hope he recovers soon.

Coalville are still second in the table but, surprisingly, have lost 3 of the last 4. and are now 11 points off the leaders, Banbury.

Been gazumped twice by Burton left back Williams Kokoka and striker Gassam Ahadme who would have been a permanent signing.

Not sure gazumped is fair mate.
Players have to do their best to secure the best deal available.
If our deal not good enough then we move on.
Clearly Burton's offer(s) better.
No announcements from Burton though.

Quoted gazumped because that's how Andy Holt described it Pompey fans saying we missed nothing on the striker been on loan there said he wasn't upto men's football.

I've used the word "gazumped"

Deal agreed with players agent, contract drafted and written confirmation it's accepted
Player booked into local hotel
Transfer agreement sent by selling club
Messages to coaches from agent "deal done"

I'd say that's gazumping" as hours of work have been done to get to this point.

Of course a player has to get the best deal he can, but don't ask for all the paperwork to be drawn up until you are ready to sign it.

That's my view as I would rather people work on a deals that are going to happen
If it's wrong sorry.

Sounds like Sherring2 if true andyd?.......A player who wants game time and feels he'll get more away at another club. Or maybe Ian Evatt has run out of ideas at Bolton and is desperate to save his job and so is trying to emulate what Coley does at Stanley. One things for sure....both Trafford AND Charles will be better players than when they first came to Stanley....with the player coaching they've received at Stanley.

Dan Jewel reports Coleman has confirmed Trafford is leaving 3 deals ongoing a defender on a permanent deal hopefully today, and two more one a loan and one loan or permanent later. Keen to strengthen in the offencive area especially with the continued absence of Pritchard, would have thought one might be a keeper.

Nice that we’ve got players better than those who other clubs are lauding and clamouring to sign ….. Go Toby!

As our prime targets seem to have been "Gazumped" it looks normal service has resumed and we will have to wait at the back of the Transfer Line to see's who's left without a club on the 31st........

I personally think we will have another keeper before weekend.

Frees up a wage if we don’t get one in however. Could always sign an emergency loan if needed short term.

You could well be right Josh as long has the spare wage is used on another player coming in a striker is a must in my opinion been gazumped on one so it,s a guessing game as to if there is another target lined up, hope so because I think we are a striker short of being a top six side.

Risky strategy that. One game away from injury / suspension and then what ?
If we can get an emergency why not bite the bullet and just get one in till end of season ?
I'm still looking at the exit door as well. Very quiet but there must be interest in our players.
