Can barely believe Christian Norton is invited for trial, scores 3 goals in 45 minutes, then seemingly disappears without trace.
Have we missed a golden opportunity??? :confused:

Nobody is privy to anything going on behind the scenes apart from club officials I presume so the lad could have :- been offered something and he,s mulling it over or turned it down, management didn't think he fit the bill, or he,s considering other options it's anyone,s guess but one thing for sure is scoring an hat trick in a pre-season friendly doesn't guarantee a 20+ goals season.

Rumours are that he asked for more money than the club had to spend. It seems Norton thought he deserved more than was offered, despite really needing to prove himself worthy of a higher wage.

Maybe the club thought it was too big a risk to take on a player with no track record of scoring goals at league level.

From the little I have seen of both, I would rather Coley ;)

Rumours are just that because he's not around someone has probably said to a mate " he wanted more money " easy to presume that but it's a rumour we,ll probably never know or in my case worry 🤔

Liam Isherwood turned out for Guisley FC this weekend named has trailist on teamsheet he was offered a new contract along with Dan Martin this summer but nothing saying either have signed them.

Morgan leaving makes sense to me. We already have three holding midfielders. Coley gone more for youth with one very experienced.......good luck David, best wishes.

The wages cost must be coming down quite quickly now, we don't know the cost or agreement of who pays what on the loans, but there has been and will be more exits to come I'm sure (including our biggest earner)........

The keeper situation is still my concern, but no doubt Coley has "irons in the fire" and will be looking for at least one loan.

Correct andyd as per my post a few days ago on Vals "Season 18 thread". Durable injury free players are a must this season. Maybe connected to our recruitment of a "Senior Physio".........
