Re: Coleman and Bell sacked
For those calling for some sort of wrtten tribute to our departed managers, I don't think the club's website is the appropriate place. Surely this forum would be more suitable? Anybody up to the challenge?
Moreover, whilst I held John Coleman in high regard I don't recall either of them giving "two hoots" about the fans when they cleared off to Rochdale in 2012. Let's just keep things in perspective. Football as we know is about results AND relationships and you need both to be good to achieve success. |

I know its only a few hours since the announcement but has anyone heard if the backroom staff are staying? Those other than John and Jimmy? Maybe they are the solution until a new manager is recruited?

Re: Coleman and Bell sacked
Writing was on the wall when they ran to Radio Lancashire passing comment about their contracts. If i was Andy Holt putting £millions into the club and community, i wouldn't be too pleased.

Re: Coleman and Bell sacked
But there wont need to be any cuts if they bring in a manager with balls to drive the players that are surplus to requirements out of the door unlike Coleman wasnt willing to do.
In league two you can only name a squad of 22 players add half a dozen under age players to that so why the hell did Coleman need as many as 46 and thats without counting the youngsters. No wonder AH had steam coming out of his ears when he said theres some in there that we havnt seen for 6 months. And as for the development squad fiasco that Coleman talked Andy into why the hell couldnt they just have inserted a clause into the contracts that said something like subject to 6 months notice should the scheme to brought to an end all contracts will be become null and void on July 1st. Anyway onwards and upwards whats needed now is a hungry up and coming non league manager who knows how to live within financial restrictions with a promotion or two on his cv so might i suggest Danny Grainger who if were lucky might be persuaded to bring with him Jammie Devitt with him. |
