Perhaps it was the players’ expectation, maybe because it usually happened, that wages would paid on or before the weekend that caused the latest kerfuffle. |

Like us, they are a small Club, therefore they will get punished......

Re: Morecambe
It's possible that the compensation paid to bring Ged back went towards Morecambe's wages

Don't get me wrong, I hope things do work out & they get back on their feet but they are definitely not out of the woods yet by a long way |

It is great news. The first time was when Bradford offered him a huge pay-rise that we couldn't match. The other time was when the club sale fell through and he had the chance to go back to "his club" , Ross County. It sounds today that the club sale will go through in the next 10 to 14 days and Derek has been given his budget and starts tomorrow recruiting. Derek is the only Morecambe manager I have ever heard with a vision for the club , he thinks we can make the Championship (like Burton and Yeovil did) and wants a new stand down the open terrace. The club think the Embargo will be lifted shortly as well. |

Hope all goes well for Morecambe going forward. IMOP Adams is a great manager at our level and only jumps ship when he's not getting a fair deal. Hopefully all will settle down for the new season ahead. |

Embargo lifted yesterday and 15 players signed (is that a record for 1 day !) Also a delegation of potential new owners from the Sub-Continent were being shown round the stadium so maybe a bit of light at the end of the tunnel without it being a train coming ! |
Re: Morecambe
