todays team vs tamworth

is as follows:-

Paul Crichton
Peter Cavanagh
Robbie Williams
Jonathan Smith
Chris Butler
Steve Flitcroft
Andrew Procter
Paul Cook
Rory Prendergast
Paul Mullin
Lee McEvilly

Subs:

Jon Kennedy
Danny Alcock
Steve Halford
Ian Craney
Paul Howarth

Any one else find it strange that we have two keepers on the bench!!!

A little over cautious me thinks!!!

Re: todays team vs tamworth

exactly, it must be obvious that Craney is soooooo much better than Cook. And, i think it was better when it was just Jimmy Bell and Coley coaching the team, because if Cook is coaching then the players will learn to play like him and who would want a team of Paul Cooks?

Re: todays team vs tamworth

i have just got back from todays game, it was great to see so many faces there i recognised and made a change for me to travle further than the rest of you for a away game, i have to say that when you play mullin and evil up front together your options are very limited as the two players play a very similar game they were both going for the same balls or running into the same space, evil spent more of the game trying to get there number 5 booked, as of today unless somthing is done im afraid that we are no longer play off material. this is my opinion, can anybody convince me outherwise, but still we may win the rest of the season, hope to see you all at exeter trying to keep the faith maidstone accy

it was on the radio a couple of days ago that because cookie, coley and jimmy
are all attacking players and they all have the same idea and the defence kind of
get left out kind of thing because they are just training attacking moves

what do you lot think???

Hang me out to dry if you all wish, but, we need a new direction, this management team have run out of ideas. No I'm not moaning at the first defeat, or being negative, but being courageous and by saying I've seen enough and it's not good enough.

FULL TIME..........my backside, we played better controlled football last year!

The attendance will pay the price unfortunately.

Never mind asking where Lutel is.........Whats Tony Parkes upto these days!!

Mr. Cooke, take a look at yourself!!

Well Redskin, I have got to agree with you. We are definitely not promotion or play off material this year. We will be lucky to keep in the hunt for the Micky Mouse cup that means we have to finish in the top 12. Yes we DO need a striker urgently, and I don't think Lutel James is the solution. Sorry if that goes against the grain. yes he has been a wonderful servant for the club in the past, but this season has shown his true colours and they are not Red and White. Every time I have seen him, he seems disinterested. The fans are getting disgruntled, 10 defeats only half way through the season is NOT promotion material. O.K. we may be sixth, but if teams below us win there games in hand, God only knows where we will be. I believe the attendances are already paying the price. Keep The Faith, gives us something to keep the faith about.

couldnt agree more with outback ozzy, we need a different direction,a new forward or two a goalkeeper that keeps his area not his half

Mik Griff 22-01-2005 23:41

Re: todays team vs tamworth

A new forward 100%...

But a keeper? I dont think so, Just get JK back in there and Danny on the bench and that numpty Crichton Cryton Clown, however its spelt OUT.

Im sorry but he makes far too many stupid errors, hes the English Barthez!

Finally, someone sees the light! we played better last year when training was nothing to do with Paul Cook, just Jimmy Bell.

Re: todays team vs tamworth

I have said before a change of management and direction is now necessary. And, yes, I am saying it again after another defeat because if you say it after a win everyone says don't be stupid - we've just won 5-0 and you're complaining! In the paper Mr Coleman states we're as good as any team in the league and he'd be surprised if we lost the league game against Hereford later this season. Sorry, Mr C, don't see it myself - bit fanciful I'd say. He says he's looking for a striker but sees no urgency in finding one as we're already okay as far as he's concerned. Where's his white stick? Then again, Mr C thinks Robbie Williams is the bees knees and has said he can't understand why league clubs aren't queueing up to sign him. Hmm...maybe the league clubs are all stupid but somehow I doubt it. The guy makes horrendous mistakes at least every other game. I thank Mr Coleman for all he's done and achieved at Stanley but it seems clear he can't take us any further.
