What was happening in 65? .

It's a common misconception that Stanley closed down altogether after they resigned from the league in '62. In fact, they continued in the Lancashire Combination in greatly reduced circumstances at Peel Park. By '65 they were all-amateur, the stadium was disintegrating, the crowds were pitifully low and they'd even lost the right to use the name Stanley (after the old club was declared bankrupt in '63). Eventually the club gave up the ghost in January '66.

Don't blame you, Bazf. Even a purist like me accepts that one major source of increased support is fans of other clubs on their "days off" (even Dingles and Walkers!). :)

Like I said... he was a bit of a donkey but now he is OK ....I explained that and I said I think he is OK now...in real life a different person as we all are... apart from get my crayons out and draw you a picture I dont see how I can explain it any better.

But hiking him up as top bloke and practically crowning him top stanley fan 24 hrs after he states he is 100% burnley is drivel... high quality drivel at that..

Thats my opinion.. I aint going to explain it a fifth time :)

You show me the place where I say "Top Stanley Bloke" I just said he's a "Top Bloke"
& he is, stanley fan or not!

Also, the only reason he doesn't get invloved is because he's scared of Loweiy.....:)
