Re: crawley latest
I agree with Henry Morton. What an excellent Post!!
I do think that the management team want to get into the play offs, but for whatever reason we lost. Do you think Mr Coleman went down to Crawley for a draw? I would have been happy with a draw considering Crawleys home record this season. |
Re: crawley latest
Interesting thoughts on your line up. Our manager certainly expected something different as he started 4-5-1 to match up against ypou. Then after 20 mins he matched up against you as well with 4-4-2.
Overall thought you had the better of the first half...our goal something of a steal. After that thought we were the better side and a much improved effort on some recent displays. Wondered what your feelings were on O'Neill. Certainly felt he could have walked as his free kick was just stupid. No attempt to do anything other than kick our man over. And the dubious handball where your keeper was given the benefit of the doubt. Good clean game though and adequate revenge for what remains our worst away defeat of teh season (and there have been plenty). And your support was superb. I've happy memories of Accy having been there several times when I was at Uni in Preston |
Re: crawley latest
i really hope we havent blown it after this game!
why the hell rory and evil were on the bench ill never know? id rather play em even if they werent 100% match fit |
Re: crawley latest
To be honest when I heard the team I was really naffed off about the selection. But it was the team that fought back a 2-0 deposit on Easter Monday........

Re: crawley latest
There is no doubt about Rory's match fitness;he was most suprised to be on the bench and no doubt even more suprised when he came on and had to play on the right!

Re: crawley latest
in my eyes he is our best player and not to play our best player in a very very important game is rather bemusing but coley is the manager and he must have his reasons and we have to respects his decisions.

Re: crawley latest
following up on Henry's post, as an Accy lad exiled down south many a long year, I looked around the Stanley support and was proud of my birthplace. Brilliant support, much admired at southern grounds, humour, friendlyness and no serious foul language. Take a bow lads 'n lasses, it's a priviledge to stand among you.
The game, as has been said, we dominated the first half and two finger-tip saves against the woodwork kept Crawley in it. Couldn't find Moses on the Crawley teamsheet but our defence still did a Red-sea impression to let them pour through. They defended in numbers - we appeared to have a thin blue line. |
