Another good one from the residents...

Residents have in the past complained about the amount of traffic on Livingstone Road, due to moving in next door to a football club (they mustn't have realised when they moved that football generates traffic). Anyway... HBC have now put in a plan to put double yellow lines on Livingstone Road to prevent the build up and blocking of residents drives with traffic.

I know this because... my neighbour came round the other day with a petition AGAINST the double yellow lines!! Which I might add, will be on one side of the road only and every resident has their very own drive which easily fits two cars.

Is this just me, but does that really make any sense!!!?

Re: Another good one from the residents...

Has HBC ever made sense!! Logically I can see where they are coming from leaving room for emergency vehicles if parking is allowed one side only. But due to the promotion and bigger gates (Hopefully) - surely more space is required for car parking and maybe the land behind the pavillion next door to the club should be used on matchdays, even if it means paying a small charge. The other thing that Stanley do not have, and I believe they should have is bays for disabled supporters. Unless you can get on the tarmac near the main turnstiles and shop early enough, you have no chance. At least 50% of this should be converted to disabled parking not only for home but away fans as well.

This is used at the moment you pay a donation to Accy Amateurs/Accy Ladies for parking there.
