Anthony Barry

given Coley's penchant for revisiting former players or targets, what chance of us going for Anthony Barry?

Also it is looking increasingly likely that Proctor is off so would he be a like for like (or better) replacement?

He has been asked by Chester to look for a new club despite halfway through a two year contract as he is one of the bigger earners - but with Mullin probably going and Proctor (one of our bigger earners?) probably going we may have the funds to target him.

As he was one of the more intrumental players in our Conference glory I say go get him, get the best out of him again and sell him on again for a profit!

Re: Anthony Barry

If it was between Barry and Procter, I'd definitely rather have Barry in the team.

Re: Anthony Barry

Out of the players who have left Anthony Barry is one I'd have back. He was a far greater loss to the midfield than the prima donna Craney and is a better player than Procter (or was when he left). Get him back if we can.

Re: Anthony Barry

Why do we keep looking over our shoulders for players who have left the club. "Sell him again " didn't Barry find a loophole and slip away for nothing, probably pocketing a large signing on fee. Anyone who knows about football and todays economic climate will realise that there will be no shortage of players out of work come the end of June, including I hope some of our's. This should present the Management with the opportunity to cast their nets wider than the Merseyside postcode and bring in players who have experience, but please no more who are past it. When the Job Center beckons a cut in ones expectations is often the answer, with hard work we could be in for a surprise.
