Just dug this up from years ago. I can remember when this kid came to us first time round and I always thought he would be a special player for us, but never really knew just how special
 Yet another man of the match performance yesterday, but this is now what we have come to expect Really glad the lad came back to us, as I cannot think we would be where we are now without him.... Crooks, Windass, Conneely, whomever.... Billy has been the man for me this season Hope we can keep hold of him for next season..... (in league 1 )

Hope we can keep hold of him for next season..... (in league 1 )listened to radio lancs before the game and heard that billy is in talks about his contract extention for next season. hope this is true and successful. keep everything crossed. |

Considering his strength and build (which he needs to constantly shrug off the wrestling challenges from defenders), it was incredible how quick he was closing players down yesterday, right up to the 94th minute. Absolute machine.
