Cav & Miles

According to today's Telegraph Cav and Miles are now on the transfer list, it also says that Kenny Arthur is close to signing a two year deal.

Re: Cav & Miles

According to the Telegraph article, Cav & Miles have been offered new deals but have opted to put themselves on the transfer list.
In Cav's case who on earth is going to sign a player who might be banned from football when his case is eventually dealt with by the FA at the end of July?

I don't think anybody is out of contract until 30th June. They have refused new deals and are on the transfer list. Free of course.

Re: Cav & Miles

Both are listed as 'frees' on the PFA website. Also on there are Dunbavin, Williams and a youth player Bewey(??). I can only assume that if they've been offered a deal at Stanley, they're putting themselves in the shop window to see if owt better comes along

Was it Burey? He's a centre-half from the reserves.

Re: Cav & Miles

Just had a look and it is Bevan Burey, was talking to his Dad at the last reserve game I went to (against Man City I think) and he said they were hoping to be told that week which of the youth players had got contracts. Obviously that didn't happen, shame - the lad's a decent player.

Yeh , that's him, sorry.....couldn't remember his name. It doesn't mean that he hsn't been offered a contract though...perhaps he has but he's entitled to put himself in the shop window to see if a better deal comes along from elsewhere. After all there's loads of 18 year olds (and older) on there from other clubs doing the same thing.

Sorry mate, but Bevan knew at the end of the season that he was not getting a new contract and was rightly gutted. However, in the light of recent developments, what is to say he is now offered a deal to stay with Stanley.

Re: Cav & Miles

Some of the details look a bit dodgy don't they ? For instance there's a lad (Brown) from Burnley. It has his age as 18 but when you click on his career details it has him down as played 17 games and scoring 1 goal for Barnet in 2001/2. That would make him 10 years old....? Big lad for his age was he?

sorry goin' off topic
