Re: Clinched it

I don't think any of us are counting our chickens just yet, most of us have been following Stanley long enough to still be very cautious. It seems to be fans of other teams who think we have it sewn up already or maybe they're just trying to lull us into a false sense of security. I for one won't be taking anything for
granted unless we get to the stage where mathematically we can't be caught. Doesn' stop us dreaming though eh?

Quick look at the fixture lists
Last season last 11 games we only won 4 games
Season before last 11 games we only won 2 games
We have 16 games left
Last season last 16 games - Won 6, Drew 6, Lost 4
Season before last 16 games - Won 4, Drew 5, Lost 7

Doesn't look as bad does it ? Then again this season things have changed there will be no more losing to Dagenham at home, no more losing to Forest Green away, no more losing to Tamworth at home, etc.

Re: Clinched it

Gee, thanks for that Tony, How did the other contenders fair? I have to admit that you’re right in many aspects, but what about the psychological affect on the lads this time round.

Undefeated in 17 games, admittedly not all of them league matches but nevertheless when have Stanley ever rode so high in the points so far through a season, all this is pretty powerful medicine in the minds of determined young men.

I have yet to see the Exeter Game, (this will be resolved shortly) but my understanding is that they played as well as any 1st division team and where more than a match for the best of them. Although Saturday display was a little disconcerting. But I’m sure lessons where learnt.

Can I ask? The guys in the mid field video tower do they shoot coverage for training purposes, if not directly is the entire footage made available to the club for a look & learn session?
