Coleman punishment

Coleman has received a £750 fine and a 2 match touchline ban for his sending off at Chesterfield last season. The decision over his (and the others) sending off at the MK Dons game is still to be decided.

Radio Lancs this morning.

For once ,t'fishy site is ahead of the game...it's been on there since yesterday (accompanied by a picture of a suitably pensive-looking Coley!).

Re: Coleman punishment

Don't forget, TM, Coleman himself received no charges over the Franchise game.

Re: Coleman punishment

If some of the players had showed half the passion of the gaffer this year we'd have been safe a lot sooner.

Re: Coleman punishment

post-match sky summary v MK Dons : Geoff Snelling says to Merson "d'ya reckon Accrington need to spend close season": Merson laffs & says "yes, a big sack of grass seed & a cage for the manager":Snelling "a lovely bloke,John Coleman, but he does get extremely passionate about Accrington Stanley".
Would we want a 'prawn sandwich' manager ? Nah, John does it for me

And if the players had followed the manager's example, we'd have been hammered with the massive fine we had hanging over us from last season.

Oh and it's Stelling, not snelling.

Bet the promotion money would more than cover that.

We're talking passion, not ability. You can't disguise lack of ability with passion alone.

That's an urban myth. Wimbledon had some very good players and a style of play/system that suited them.

Yes they played with passion under Gould and later Kinnear, but they were far from lacking in ability.

twas n "urban myth" i watched n in my opinion they had very few good players comparitivley speaking, to the rest of the "old" division one. the comparison i'm making is simple stanley have a few good uns at the level they play at, n from what i have seen passion is sadly lacking in some of em, thats my point,it worked to a degree at wimbledon, and with the lack of funds stanley have, is the best way to work now, given the circs.

Wish I had 10K to gamble with, are paying him too much or not paying him enough which ever way you look at it, surely the allegation is utter bull.
