Re: Contracted players for season2024/25

Did really well for us when he first came but he seemed to lose interest of late. Think his head was turned when Portsmouth showed the interest but then it stalled. Good luck anyway Tommy and thanks.

On Burton's forum, there's even talk of Coley joining Tommy:

I read Jack Nolan being connected with Gillingham.

Andy Holt saying on Twitter today that its unlikely either Tommy Leigh or Jack Nolan will be with the club next season.

Will be sorry to see Jack move on. Thought he gave it a really good go last season and with the experience he gained i was looking forward to see him pushing on further this season.

Sorry to see Jack Nolan go - and a little surprised its Gillingham. Thought a league one outfit would have come for him.

Re: Contracted players for season2024/25

Agree on both counts. I saw something a few weeks ago suggesting Orient were interested and thought a move to League 1 would have been right for him.

Good luck to Jack, bit of a sidewards step but not sure he's up to league 1 level yet & no doubt his wages will be bigger & he'll be nearer to his family

Re: Contracted players for season2024/25

Gillingham fan here. Not come here to gloat but always interested in what the fans thought of players we sign. We really lacked pace and goals last season. Nolan scored a very good number for you last season. Is he a true winger or someone he plays more centrally as well. Is he a pacey player ?

I think most of us felt he might move up a league as well but with new ownership we are different club these days. I suspect he's been tempted by a decent wage (in the same way Ness left Crewe to join us) and its a move that bit closer to home given his Southampton/Reading roots.

Good luck next season.

Gutted to see Ros Longelo leave us, brilliant player if he can stay injury free - best of luck to him for the future
