Edwards
Just my own opinion and it may be daft but......
If you have a top quality defender within a sqaud, with defenders of limited ability who find it difficult to well errr defend, then how come the best one with the most ability and attributes does not get picked????
Can anybody please enlighten me? Or am I missing something?

Re: Edwards
Easy. Did you see the size of their forward?
Edwards would've never coped.
We needed Welchy's height.

Re: Edwards
Forehead, see the thread below - I don't think anyone on here disagrees with you, only Coleys not listening!

2nd in the league only got one against us, even that was against the run of play - what was wrong with the defending?
Good result. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Re: Edwards
Cav did quite well yesterday, one of a few decent game for him this season.
Rocky played well, AGAIN. I think he's getting the same uncalled for abuse as he always does to be honest. Yeah, he makes the odd silly mistake, but who honestly doesn't.
Agree with Shaker about Coleys decision not to play Edwards. Yeah, he's a cracking player, but he wouldn't of won much yesterday when it was a long ball.
Bavs had a good game overall, but his distribution was pretty bad. Not like him at all.
Gary Roberts needs to take a long, hard look at himself though, no place for diving. It makes me cringe, as it did when Rory did the same. He should've been booked for it in my humble opinion, maybe it would make him think twice.
Referee was poor, but that seems to be the norm.

Re: Edwards
Gary should have been booked for kicking the ball away as well. The look on his face though when he looked at the Clayton End after his second blatant dive. He realised that he had won no friends with that one.

Dunbavin was to blame for the goal. He should have held onto a very weak effort, instead of presenting it to their striker for the equiliser. He was also to blame for the Wycombe goal, when he flapped at it and put it right on Mooney's head.

Roberts and Doherty were never in the game. Very poor displays by both of them.

Thought the referee did ok yesterday in his decision making, but his positioning was awful. Time and again he was in the way of play and either blocked a player or the ball.

He didn't win any friends at Partick either, and I thought he'd learned his lesson from that.
He got a very loud, and positive, " and you can F*** off hame, pal. "
My sentiments entirely, know their football these Scots.

Re: Edwards
Oggy they like good honest pure fitba and there are no harsher critics than Glasgow teams diehard fans. If they want to see childish dramatics then the town centre on a Friday and Saturday night is were they find it. Pity he didnt learn from it because if he does it on a regular basis when the time comes when it is the real mccoy then the boy that cried wolf comes to mind

The story of 'the boy that got shipped off to blackpool' comes more clear to me, Spug.

Sorry TM, I thought Doherty had one of his best games yet IMHO.

Cannot agree on this one either, he had a shocker. Missed a few descisions for both teams, to be fair.
Cav had a better than of late game. Thought he played well and tracked back when required. Welchy had his hands full all afternoon with Onibuje or whatever his name is. The League paper got it right, quick feet and height but no real skill. Too much of the fancy stepovers once more. For god's sake Coley lets cut out the fancy stuff and keep it simple. First half when playing football, Stanley were fantastic, second half, they went to pot

Re: Edwards
to be fair to us, I think that Swindon came out with a better attitude in the second half and played the kind of football that we would have expected of them. We struggled to stay in the game when they finally started to play. But we still carved out a couple of chances.

Re: Edwards
Doherty had his best game in the league so far. However wasn't good enough.
He gets so far down the wing then is stumped when confronted by a full back.
It's the reverse of Gary Roberts, Gary wants to do every trick in the book along with a gold medal winning olympic dive before he gets past a player.
Granted, sometimes it works, but more than often his antics are detremental to the team - he squandered at least 2/3 attacks yesterday needlessly.
Thought Rocky had a very good game along with Andy Todd who was exceptional.
