Don't know if anybody has spotted this, Jack Barrett is to become a Freeman Of Hyndburn

Four more get freedom of Hyndburn. (From Lancashire Telegraph)

If you want to shake the great man's hand and thank him for helping in giving us a town team club to support, call in to reception on matchdays!!

Even at 80+ years young, he still does a matchday shift!!

O dear, I was hoping to stay in the background!!

I'm know that there are much more deserving ASFC folks, MR K. Mr M, Mr H, Sir JC , Prof B; to name a few and apologises to those I've missed

Thats my dream!!
ASFC in the Football League when I'm as old as Freeman Jack Barrett. ( If that occurs, I'd know that heavan IS a place on earth!!)

Sorry for sounding a little ignorant but as a lot of you know I'm not a Stanley fan, however I knew a Jack Barrett in the 70s was a very good french polisher, I'm just wondering if this is the same person

Dunno mate, but the guy yer on about came from Nelson Street way, will ask his daughter next time i see her, have known her near 50 yrs.

Thats right cashy had his workshop on Nuttall Street, I lived on Nelson St at the time
