According to the Clitheroe website we are playing a friendly there tomorrow night with a 6pm kick off. Anyone know any more details about this.

I heard this on Radio Lancs on way home from work this afternoon, apparently we are fielding quite a few trialists in preparation for new signings next season.............might just pop along and have a looksee.......anyone else?

Could this be a cunning play to get used to the pitch in time for our HUGE local derby with Wanderers, where we give Lil Sam his first defeat?

Nope. But looking forward to this glorified reserve match all the same. As for the friendly, I seem to recall the word on the terrace was that the big black guy who also played against Burnley in goal was Jimmy Bell's post man.

thats my point Smudgie, as fans we all thought he had a bit of summat. But it is the management who pick the team and they thought better alternatives were available.

never understand that comment....how was he not given a chance? what gives any player the right to walk into the first team without being watched and played at reserve games or odd competetive games....thats how all players get their chance they have to shine in those games N'da like many other before never shone imo
