Great Performance

What a tonic after the Leigh RMI game. Great character shown after the dubious penalty, all the lads got on with the job. Brilliant, but brilliant run by Evil to set up Craney's goal.

My favourite bit, though, was the football officianado who'd taken his mate along and was explaining things to him during the first half. " Yes, their manager scored a lot of goals in non league fooball."........ Friend, "and what's his name".

"COLEY, COLEY, ................COLEY IS OUR KING", we responded.

Re: Great Performance

It wasn't even a dubious penalty - it was a farcical one, rather like a certain Mike Riley would give to United at Old Trafford!!!

Re: Great Performance

Let's be fair now it was always a penalty for't'foul, my only complaint is that he was offside at't'time, evil played tremendous last night, he should have been given a penalty, for getting legged up in't'box! he had broken no rule in heading't'ball from't'goalie's hand (singular), all in all a good performance by all't'lads, flynn an butler were brilliant, craney had a good game and scored an absoloute beuty, i were a bit dissapointed when i found out smithy were dropped yesterday afternoon. playin one up front is an absoloute farce! not only makin mully look bad but by't'time smithy came on it were too late!we definatley missed rory as we have been doing o'er recent weeks, lutel would've been brilliant to partner mullin up front last night, it's a shame. i wonder if cookey's coming on had anything to do with an appearance fee? all in all though a good performance, couldnt fault one player, not even rocky, who played an important role last night, without his pace, i dont know what the scoreline would've been, fans got behind team really well last night, i had a word with paul mullin last night, I never realised what a difference it made, it was well appreciated by all o't'team as it allus is. keep up the nise everyone, stanley needs you!
