Obviously good for the Football Club, and I think it's great news for supporters too.
There would have been no public transport on New Year's Day , but there should be a full (hourly) rail service on Jan 3rd, and as it's not a night match I would expect the entire footie-aware population of Accrington to make full use of that facility ! Did you know that it only takes 35 minutes to get to Halifax on the train ? And remarkably enough it takes about the same time to get back. Last edited by Henry Morton; 22-11-2004 at 23:36. |

Yeah I should be able to get off TM but i still have to sort all the broken toy claims out 1st !!! I still think New Years Day was better........... everyones off then and with it being on telly maybe some won't travel, still the club will get some money I suppose !

Does the club get any money? I thought it was just the home club that received the fee as compensation for lost gate receipts.
