it says in paper that unofficial reports are that oneil resigned saturday after meeting nayone know if its true

Has O'Neill resigned?
A friend of mine went for Newcastle tickets yesterday and O'Neill and Whalley were in the office. This afternoon O'Neill is in the office, so it is a mystery as to whether he has gone or not, but it would appear that he hasn't |

I got the impression from Ilyas's last message that Mr. O'Neil had resigned and he was hopeful of him staying on as a director, it appeared clear to me that that terms where good and he would be welcome around the ground.
I would also imagine that there would be a period of continuation so that Mr. O'Neil could bring people up to date on matters pertaining to the club prior to departure, if indeed he does. Does being the current major shareholder entitle Mr. Whalley the right to be there; I think that one we need to be answered. I'll add at the risk of Pillory; that an official public announcement on the Fishy site and in the press would end all of this type of Posting.

Please can we have an O'neil free day or 2
Merged threads & closing them as newcastle should be where our energies lie. I have been reliably told that there will be a club statement later this week as atm ALL stanley staff & players energies are totally focussed on tommorows game, so please be patient & information will be announced & therefore discussion can then flourish once these details are announced.
