Historical information wanted.

I have recently been looking into my family history and heard that my great uncle, Walter Westall may have been a former Director of Accrington Stanley Football Club, possibly around the period 1945-60. I am interested in finding out whether this is true and would like to know the years during which he might have held this position. I also wonder whether anyone might have any old photos or information about Walter whilst he was involved with the club.

He didn't sell used buildings from a base in Aldershot by anychance?

Sorry, haven't come across him, but my list of directors is very incomplete. There were up to a dozen of them sometimes in the 50s.

Thanks for replying. I wouldn't have thought that he would have been in the property business. He used to be a bookmaker in Accrington as far as I know. Cheers.
