International Clearance

See Official Site http://www.accringtonstanley.co.uk/

It would have been nice if they had informed us that this was the reason he wasn't in the squad last week

Re: International Clearance

I was under no illusion that was why he didn't play. Can't remember where exactly, Telegraph or Observer but it was advertised that he would play if clearance came through in time.

As he didn't make the bench, it was a gimme so to speak.

You guessed that this was the reason, exactly. No mention on the Official Site

Accrington Stanley v Chester City
Stanley entertain Chester City at the Fraser Eagle Stadium on Saturday afternoon, kick off 3pm. City won the reverse fixture back in August, running out 2-0 winners on the opening day of the season.

Andy Tretton, Danny Ventre, Leighton McGivern, Peter Cavanagh and Ian Dunbavin are all out through injury. Alan Rogers serves the last game of his three match suspension and Shaun Whalley also misses after picking up five yellow cards this season.

Re: International Clearance

Who cares if you thought that there was some other reason. I for one guessed that clearance hadn't come through when he wasn't playing or on the bench, but I am extremely glad it now has and we have further strength in depth for the midfield

Re: International Clearance

Totally agree with Jeff, I applauded the Fishy site for transfer deadline day news, and asked them to keep it up. They failed within a week.

Yes, we guessed. But for pity's sake we're addicts on this site and are still largely ignored, there's season tickets resting on stuff like this.

Lack of information costs Stanley money, if the club can't be bothered, why should we?

Who said anything about thinking that there was another reason ? We all GUESSED that clearance hadn't come through, it's just the fact that it wasn't mentioned in the preview.

I thought he was a central defender not a midfielder, but, knowing our record he could be playing anywhere.
