Re: New Signing

Season long loan. Very experienced pro but not sure on his match fitness as he wasn't part of Chesterfields pre season games and only made one sub appearance from the start of this season. Think he will do a good job for us once he's upto speed so for me its a good signing.

Re: New Signing

According to Wikipedia he's come from Paris:

"Patrick Stephen Madden (born 4 March 1990) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Accrington Stanley on loan from Ligue 1 club PSG."

Haggis............ if only we'd loaned a PSG striker!.........

He should do OK if he can get fit........as usual there has to be something not quite right or he wouldn't be here at Stanley. Let's hope its just fitness and not an injury..........

Val, we’re “over the hill”. At 35 he’s still on the up slope.
Hope he can give our attack some focus and inspire the younger lads.
Good luck, Paddy.🇮🇪 ⚽️

Re: New Signing

has been a prolific goal scorer with many clubs, hope he still has that desire to score goals and not be a Bench warmer as so many ageing players we've had before

My dad got interviewed by top soccer mag L'Equipe when one of PSG's old managers died!

Re: New Signing

I know we tried to sign Paddy a few years ago but couldn't get the deal done.

He's been prolific everywhere he's played, so this could be a real coup for Stanley. Perhaps even the first prolific, experienced striker we've had since Billy Kee?
