Re: Nothampton Away Travel

I know I'm a newbie to the site, but I'm slightly concerned that a 10am departure could be cutting it tight.
I live in Coventry and travel up to Burnley (am I swearing?) to visit my son and have had some horrendous journeys both ways mainly due to the 20 miles of roadworks through Brum on the M6 and all in all the distance from ground to ground is 170 miles.
With respect can I suggest you keep tabs on the Highways Authority web site and use the M6 Toll.
Best wishes and see you at Sixfields Northampton.

Re: Nothampton Away Travel

Coaches using the M6 toll get it for free if they stop at Norton Canes services

Re: Nothampton Away Travel

Wouldn't adding minimum 30 minutes at the service station negate any time-saving of using the M6Toll?
Unless bladders can be held and that's the only 'comfort break' made.

Re: Nothampton Away Travel

Bigred thanks for your concerns.

10am would allow for a 5hour journey if the proverbial hit the fan!

Northampton will take around 3hours maybe 3.5hours with a comfort stop. latest 2pm arrival.

Regards
Ash
