I think we must have been watching a different match. To me and some others I spoke to, at times he looked like he'd never played football before. Some of his short passing was woeful and his longer passing looked nothing more than a hopeful punt.
Having said that, he looked fairly strong in the air and reasonably quick on the ground. I just didn't see him as being any better than what we already have, which is a shame as we need to strengthen the defense.

I also noticed Robbie Williams telling him where to stand from time to time, which can't be a good thing as Williams needs all his concentration for himeself.

Maybe the poor quality around him made him look good... He is the right back i said looked OK .... I didn't realise he was supposed to be center half...

Yeah, it was nice to see him there. If he'd have been playing he'd have looked a class above most of the others on there.
