Re: Stanley Ladies

Yes it's true 31-0 to Preston

But credit to the girls they kept there heads up right to the very end and didn't give in.

We knew when we where drawn against Preston we wouldn't have much of a chance, god they are 4 divisions above us, and it was only our third game!

I am certainly proud of the girls they are learning all the time and I'm sure they will come good as the season progresses

Re: Stanley Ladies

Agree there Bottletop, they never once let their heads drop, a lot of teams under those circumstances would have given up.

I think some of them were taken by suprise at the applause in the bar after the game but they deserved it,

Well Done Ladies

Re: Stanley Ladies

Absolutley one hundred percent agree Bottletop............If the truth be told ,I for one felt so proud of the way the Ladies conducted themselves both on and off the pitch, not once did they let the result affect them.

They kept on encouraging each other right up to the final whistle, and every single one of them gave 150%+ for 90 mins........and that goes for the Dugout staff too!

Our number 9 came sooooooooooo close to scoring ( bloody keeper saved it!!), nearly gave myself a heart attack!!

Belive me Ladies, it wont be long till your first victory..........when's the next match?

Re: Stanley Ladies

I missed this, I was intending to go. Sorry I let you down, but hey. 31 – 0. A new team, unfamiliar, untried players! Feel no shame ladies, your time will come, it took the lads 44 years to fight their way back. You have to loose some to gain experience, so it was a big loss, so what at least you where there fighting, accept it move on and go forward, hopefully with the rest of us behind you. God Speed.

PNE Ladies have been playing together for many years, ASLFC only 3rd ever match.
PNE manager/coach head of Development of Ladies Football for the LFA.

T.M. had you been there you would have seen and most probably appreciated both the effort/team work and most importantly the belive that these youngsters have.......so yes I am bieng serious, as is Bottletop, AccyRed, and the 10 or so diehard Accy Stanley fans who came to watch the game.

Please feel free to come and add your support on Sunday at Moorhead, you would be made most welcome.
