Stanley Ladies FC

Stanley ladies made the long trip up to Penrith to play Carleton Rovers LFC there first ever game. 10 woman stanley lost 0-7 in a spirited performance and at half time where only 0-2 down and came close to scoring on occasions.. But the second half saw them tire and against the extra player it showed as 5 more went past them..

Pictures later on www.kipax.com

Dont forget www.stanleyladies.co.uk where todays tream pic has been added

Re: Stanley Ladies FC

Well Done today Ladies

A hard fought match and the scoreline doesnt reflect the way you played. Carleton had the extra player which did take its toll in the second half but you all kept your heads up... I think you did exceptionally well for your first match in the league against a well established team that has been playing together for at least two years ...

I cant wait for the first home match next weekend

Yea, well done ladies - must've been hard to have your first game away from home and with a player down as well. Hope you get plenty of support for your first home game next week.

Well Done Ladies

With only having 10 players throughout the match,30 minute delayed kick off after warming up,3 players carrying injuries, a ref that was watching his son play on the next pitch and only been training together for the last 4 weeks.

I THINK YOU ALL PLAYED EXCEPTIONALLY WELL

Thumbs up Re: Stanley Ladies FC

Bless em the physio team are enthusiastic!!! The guy with hair is our Coach martin by the way and the guy without is my husband!!!

I just want to say on the record that I couldn't be prouder of the girls right now, they put everything into the game.

We didn't deserve the score line, we got caught twice on the break in the first half, when we had the better chances and played the better football. But with only ten players it took its toll in the second half, they scored four in the last twenty minutes against a somewhat battered and bruised team that played their socks off.

Credit to Carleton though, they were a nice bunch and friendly, they put grub on in the pub for us after the game as well which was nice.

Well done girls

Dont know what you mean AccyRed .....All I was saying was 'thats the second time Ive had to run today'..............what else could you mean?

Just wanted to say that I thought the Ladies played outta thier
skins, especially when you take into consideration that they were up against it from the get go as unfortunatley they were a 'man' down for 90 mins.

I also thought that the support from the sidelines was excellent.
We have got the makings of a very good Ladies side here, give them time to gel and train then look out me thinks!!

Looking forward to the next game at home this Sunday, 2pm at Moorhead I believe..............lets get a few people up there to lend some support.
