Smile U23's

Our Under 23's beat Bolton U23's today

In doing so they have won the Central League - well done to all

Jack Nolan grabbed a hat trick

Re: U23's

Well done to all the team and staff.
Best Stanley performance I’ve seen this season was the U23s.

Re: U23's

First of all congratulations to the lads. My hope is that the success of the under 23s and under 18s gives me hope for the future. I just hope the right choices are made in giving them the right chances in the first team. Much as I'm trying to remain hopeful my suspicion is that this season has gone but next season could look very bright.

Re: U23's

Surely Jack Nolan's hat-trick justifies giving him a start on Saturday?

Might be a bit late for KO, though.

Re: U23's

Using Jack Nolan as an example, but there's others. Players like Jack Nolan are brought into the side either as subs or, when they do get a full game they then seem to be dubbed as failures by the manager based on just the one game and then cast aside.
Players who have been out of the first team for some considerable time need at least 3 or 4 games to get up to the speed of first team football. I would much rather see Jack Nolan given a chance before Sean McConville.

Jack Nolan’s weakness is that he is naturally left-footed and, under normal circumstances, would be playing down the left wing.
In the old days, his shirt number would’ve been….No.11.
Don’t hold your breath, Watchdog.

Re: U23's

Another good performance tonight against Rochdale

Nolan - pen - and Mancini, both on the score sheet

Re: U23's

Terrific performance from the Stanley U23s.
It’s a pleasure to watch these lads, good, fast football with little or no histrionics and no cheating.
Third goal, Bailey Sloane I think, was a cracker.
Great team work. Ged Brennan deserves credit for melding an attractive and successful squad.
Onto the semi against Barrow…but where?
