Re: We are TOP of the League

If we continue in this rich vein of form the gates will soon start to rise. Watching Boco was a revelation and crowds will flock just to see him when the word gets around. The problem will be keeping him as he is surely bound for the upper echelons of the football league. When he came on I wondered whether he was any good at ice skating. But not only did he show magical instant control of the ball, he also competed for the ball very well against their big defenders who were mesmerised by his pace and power. What a signing!

Agreed, and he outjumped and outpaced them everytime. It was just a shame that he couldn't have capped his performance with a goal.

Re: We are TOP of the League

I have n't seen much of him, the games i've been too he's been an unused or just about used sub. If he is as good as everybody says, why is he not in the team from the start? And before you say anything no I would not drop Craney for him, cos I would make Craney my captain.

I am here in sunny Morecambe !!

Would be disappointed only beating an ale-house team like Forest Green 2-0.

I guarantee you 1,500 is not enough to pay the wages !! Anything under 2,000 means Directors having to make up the difference, thats why Eric will be worried.

He hasn't been able to get a start because the team has been doing really well. With David Brown's unfortunate injury he finally got a decent chance and was very impressive. If he can sustain that level of performance for a full 90 minutes it will be a mouth-watering prospect, considering the way he got on the end of Mullin's flicks to burst through on goal and bring out the best in their keeper. But he is also very much aware of what is going on around him and delivers good ball to his colleagues. One moment when he cut in from the right and took out their defender with a feint was sublime - if you blinked you would have missed it.
I think he and Gary Roberts together are fantastic, but to single them out is wrong. The whole team played with such intensity yesterday - you could even see it in the pre-match warm-up. The fitness levels have moved up another gear or two recently - I think the workrate is phenominal.

We're not top of the league anymore either, but it was sweet while it lasted.

Yes...Top Of The League!!! Maybe it was, for now, only a fleeting few moments in time. But at least we got there and enjoyed it. Isn't it nice to know, the tiny crustaceaners from that dump up the road will never get that experience this season or the forseeable future. It's enough to make you almost feel sorry for them....Note the ALMOST!

Doubt Boco will get any starts in the next few matches - seeing as Andy Mangan is now available after serving his 1 match ban. We should see a lot more minutes from him though as the season progresses, hopefully.

you are missing the points.

Last season you were about 12 points above us after 6 games but its a marathon and we finished well above you. No prizes ever handed out after 17 games !!

Accrington do not have the support to sustain league football. 1,500 for a team needing a win to go top is pathetic. Everyone there is too busy supporting the Clarets or T'Rovers.

It may have been the case last season but we are different this season..Everything seems perfect this could be our year honestly. Players seem fitter whereas last season we used to get tired in the last 15/20 minutes allows teams back into games, whereas we have shut them out this year. On the other hand you signing Ged Brannan shows you don't have them team, no disrespect to Ged he is a top guy but can't cut it anymore at this level in my opinion. Whereas a team with real ambitions would be signing international class like Boco or Youngsters with bags of potential like Smyth who has played in the Liverpool first team. Although you may have narrowly beat us this year albeit us playing almost 90 minutes with 10 men, i think we will finish above you this year ASFC- Pride OF Lancashire

well we have an academy which turns out young players who are now being recognised by England(4 in the last squad + Kempson on standby). We needed someone like Brannan to add experience to the midfield. The scoreline may have looked close at 3-2 but the referee gave Accy 2 goals, I was standing right behind John Coleman and even he didnt know why the penalty was given.
