Re: XI against Vale??

To say we were down to 10 men & conceded a penalty that could prove the most valuable point we've ever earned.
Well done every Jack man who fought for our pride tonight.

Re: XI against Vale??

Listened on Radio Lancs and it was a very difficult listen! Felt like a two and a half hour match! Poor quality according to the commentary but a well earned point for Stanley under the circumstances! Sounds like the boys put in a magnificent effort. Especially well done to youngsters Pickles and O’Brien!
KEEP THE FAITH!

Re: XI against Vale??

Would like to see Jimmy Bell fronting the dug out/manager area during the game. He has far more bite than John Doolan and always seems to fire up the players and keep them alert and on their toes.

Alternative perspective:

Apparently, the ref was originally the fourth official. On there, he's compared to Trevor Kettle.

Did anyone else feel that the long throw-in that led to Vale's goal was taken 10 yards or more upfield from where it was given?

Re: XI against Vale??

He was the original 4th official, the appointment was changed late last week. We've had Mr Speedie numerous times, not usually with great reuslts including the cup tie at Port Vale last season when he sent Colby off. His last appearance with us was the home match against Derby.

When Mo Sangare nearly had his leg broken by a rash tackle and the Derby player just walked away.
Speedie by name, weedie by nature.
