I'm up for it, TBH though I'd let people use zoom and crop as well, how you going to know without them including the exif info - even that can be falsified, and most compacts can't achieve a true 1:1 macro, it's only a gimmic on most of them to let you focus a bit nearer

we have already had a closeup one where we allowed zoom this is macro only.
If members want to cheat for a small prize then thats upto them.
as there seams a few interested in this i will set it up on Monday
will put it as a special competition .

so will the rules be that the pic must be taken using macro mode on your camera or that it must be 'proper' macro (like ksh said)

Just macro on your camera will do
its just a bit of fun, and to get a lot of digital camera users to take it off the auto setting and have a bit of a play with there camera.
ITS NOT that serious

Found it on my camera Mick .. the flower icon, but not really close up shots .. rubbish or what ? and the blooming battery flasher turns it off automatically before I can aim it at the subject, even though new batteries:confused: :(

Out of focus though, should have re-sized it first methinks... just not the pictures like Mick took in his first post .. flies eyes and things .. lol.

P.S. .. Are you supposed to bring your camera up close to the target ?
