Maybe Tommy Ball was Nikita Khrushchev's long lost brother and to help things along told get the missiles out or you get no more free shoes. Khrushchev had a little think and decided it was to cold in russia to be doing his rounds in his bare feet. Out come was he went groveling to his Bro for forgiveness and a nice pair of shoes to keep his tootsies warm. All wee Tam ask for was the missiles to be parked elseware the irony being that the yanks did the same in the 80's in the Uk and said tough to all who objected. Ironic aint it.
