Anyone fish locally?

Howdy doody, I'm looking to get back into freshwater fishing.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how good local lodges are?
I know of Devine fisheries near Vita, how good is it there on the day ticket lake?

Any others? ISTR the one next to Asda is private to the fishing club,. is that a good fishing spot and worth joining the club?

Just feeling the waters to see where to go.
Unfortunatly the one in Rawtenstall I normally went to is out of action until next year.

Re: Anyone fish locally?

Unfortunately I don't fish and it seems there aren't enough people on the forum anymore that are active to give you a response.

I know Platts Lodge had a problem with Green Algae a while back and a lot of fish died so not sure if it still a viable fishing spot anymore. It's managed by the Hyndburn and Blackburn Angling Association.

I have seen a lot of people fishing on the Leeds-Liverpool canal between The Albion at Clayton le Moors to Rishton

I'm hoping to make it a regular thing now.

Mitchell House reservoirs had fly fishing and Warmden Reservoir had bait fishing for trout (Now drained) had trout that got into stream that ran down to Broad Oak which was clean enough to a certain point for trout to survive in the pools and probably breed. But Priestly Clough had no Trout because it was polluted from factories up in Baxenden. The Canal at Altham/Huncoat had plenty fish, it should be better today than it was.
