Salt and Potato Chips

Had a packet of crisps the other (first one since Jesus played fullback for Jerusalem) ands noticed that they came ready salted, which is OK if you like a lot of salt.

This got me thinking as to when did the liittle packets (twists) of salt were abodoned.? and replaced by factory added salt.

Just think pf how many could be employed in bringing back the packets of salt , this could eleviate some of the dole benefits.

None it would still be automated
i can remember the little blue salt twisted packets we used to see how many we found in any one bag i think these went out of use at the end of the 60s and they brought the sealed packets in instead

Re: Salt and Potato Chips

You had to be careful when eating them at the pictures. Because you were in the dark, it wasn't uncommon to put the twist of salt in the mouth by mistake.

Link doesn't seem to work for me Jay, anyone else have that problem?

P.S. I think you'll find XL closed down after 13 years of mismanagement.

It's working for me. It takes you to page 16 of the thread: Years Gone By. It's a discussion from 2008 about Rishy and XL crisps.
