Improvement in Quality

I went on Saturday for the first time since the Exeter game, and I was really impressed at the improvement in quality in the side. Coley has done a great job in moulding a team of players who are...

Jim Harvey

Heard on radio this morning that Jim Harvey, the Morecambe manager, had a heart attack at Saturdays game.

All the best to him for a speedy recovery.

Conference on TV

Where can I find out which games are going to be on Sky?

Are Stanley scheduled for an appearance?

Enjoyed the Aldershot v Crawley game the other night. Good advert for the Conference.

Re: Poor Gates

I started a few seasons before that. By the time Stanley played Bournemouth and Huddersfield, I was already a season ticket holder and was well and truly on board the bandwagon.

I'm not falling...

One. Me.

You don't think anybody else in my family would be mad enough to come, do you?

Re: Poor Gates

 Lord Give Me Strength.

I was at the Exeter game and there were only 1,300 there. Does that make my comments valid?

Re: Poor Gates

I don't for one minute doubt the commitment shown by the board. In a previous life, I used to have regular meetings with Eric and John Demaine, and I used to dread meeting them if Stanley had lost...

Re: Poor Gates

Exactly what this thread is about. If it IS a business decision rather than a Conference dictat, it is in the clubs hands to do something about it.

Re: Poor Gates

I'd also be an idiot to remain silent and not to offer constructive comments to explain why I didn't go to the match on Saturday, which is what I was trying to do.

The club has got a lot going...

Re: Poor Gates

But you must agree there are issues there that the club must address if it is going to attract people who, like me, can find something better to do with our Saturdays.

Re: Poor Gates

I was one of the missing fans on Saturday, having been a virtual ever present for the past few seasons. There were a few reasons why I wasn't there, namely:

1. The kick off time. 1.00 is too early...

Re: why doesnt accrington have a next?

Hyndburn Council doesn't set the business rates. They are set by the government and collected for them by Hyndburn Council.

Million Dollar Baby

I can recommend Million Dollar Baby as one of the best films I've seen for years. Don't miss it!

Re: No Jordan!

I saw the winning song, and had forgotten it three minutes later. It wont trouble the scorers in the final.

Winning songs in the Eurovision Song Contest need an impact. That song had as much...

Killer Katy

Watching Corry last night, it occurred to me how much more dramatic it would have been if we hadn't been told in advance that Katy was going to kill Tommy with the monkey wrench.

Those people who...

Re: Council Loyalty

I don't believe the above post. Pardon me for trying to inject a bit of humour! I'll keep my serious head on in future, because the term "sense of humour" seems lost on this site.

You couldn't make it up!

There are some things which happen in life that, when written down, sound so far fetched that you'd be accused of making them up.

This occurred to me yesterday when I heard about a well known...
