Does anybody have any information about Personnel services being moved from the East Area Offices (Globe Centre) to County Hall at Preston? Is this the beginning of the end of an 'education office'...

Apparently they used to unload from above with some sort of lifting apparatus - sugar, flour & stuff was delivered in sacks and then packaged on site as and when bought.

I believe they were there to allow horse drawn delivery vehicles access to the shops etc.
