Haven't seen either Mad Men or IMHO Sherlock.

Big fan of Holmes - in particular Jeremy Brett's interpretation which I still swoon over every time.

The Italian sense of humour is not my cup of tea at all Eric - it's pretty infantile and has no shading like British commedy does...

There are the odd exceptions in films ...but they are rare.!

The eighties did give us Spitting Image too and Not the Nine o'clock news...

I remember being at my giddiest in the 70's especially with Reggie Perrin!
