Wonderful result, but that ref must not have a waterproof watch! 11 minutes of agony for those of us not there.
the ref was poor again but the liner on our side must be completely BLIND, a real useless get, was a cracking days football in crap conditions using subs in good time certainly paid off.we had 5 booked at the very least 3 of them were no different to what they let those cloggers off with yet they only 1 booked, if yeh can work that out yer a good un, think we need to sort a spot kicker out charles one was poor.

The best dead ball specialist available Is Clark and we use him ..... Zero. Never will understand that.
The difference with subs today was that we had some decent players on the bench.
Pritchard was great when he came on.
Clark was excellent.
New lad up front will be ok when he settles.
Don’t yet see anything that good about Grant.
We were at sea a few times in defence but conditions weren’t great.
Nowt that wrong with the ref... two or three incorrect calls, and wish he’d made their player leave the pitch when he cut his head. Just a waste of time for everyone.

Wasn’t lucky enough to see the game but agree, Lord Didders, that, for the first occasion for some time, I thought the three subs strengthened the team. Not to say the subbed players didn’t deserve to start, but great to have quality on the pitch and the bench.
As to Grant, how quickly has Shrewsbury faded from the memory?
Well done to the squad and management for a terrific performance.

What a thrilling match it was today v Lincoln City. We managed a victory 4 - 3 but IMHO the result could have gone either way.
The first hour of the match was played in swirling windy conditions with some short showers. However, after an hour 'Storm Dennis' arrived with a wallop and the conditions for the players simply became awful!
To both teams credit they tried to play football on the ground but even in the first sixty minutes as soon as the ball went up in the air mistakes and misjudgments were inevitable. After the storm arrived it required a change in tactics and initially Lincoln handled the situation more effectively than our boys. Coleman certainly got the substitutions right today. The new lad up front was getting nothing out of his opponents in the second half and bringing Pritchard on was a masterstroke. So was the lads goal, in front of us in the Clayton End he controlled the ball well and pushed it five yards ahead which allowed him to accelerate into his right footed shot which went in like a rocket. We all knew it was going in as soon as he struck it!
Bringing on the other two worked so well too. Bishop reinvigorated our physical presence up front and Finley was an added driving force in midfield.
It was great for Seamus to get on the score sheet and the winner from Finley was a well constructed team move. The winning goal sent the whole of the Clayton End and Main Stand into raptures of delight.
It was a difficult match for the referee and whilst he didn't get all his decisions correct he was spot on with the addition of 10 minutes added time at the final whistle. There had been five substitutions and three stops for injuries the last being the longest at more than 5 minutes.
The atmosphere at the end of the match was just BRILLIANT as the Stanley players came up to the Clayton End to share the celebrations with the Stanley FAITHFUL. We BELIEVED all through the match that our players and management would get this right today and they certainly did.
Finally, I want to pay MASSIVE CREDIT to Andy Holt for spending the money on our pitch last summer. The pitch was just superb and held up so well even when the worst of 'Storm Dennis' swept in!

Sometimes I wonder if people who comment are actually at the game.
Only player with a bit of passion when we were losing, rallying the other players, keeping heads up. Did the dirty work, was happy to drop deep when needed to keep BA-S higher up the pitch.
Put himself about both on the ground and in the air.
One of our better players today...
My opinion, I don't think Bobby Grant was amazing today but I think he is a very good signing (his goal against the shrews showed his value).
Regards the game, WOW! great match played fiercely by both sides. either could have won it, Lincoln there usual physical self, dangerous particularly at set pieces, But are guile was a match particularly second half.
Clark's dribbling caused Lincoln lots of problems, his link up play with callum was another highlight going forward.
Mixed day for bursik, incredible save near end of first half but a mistake for there second goal.
Agreed quality of and use of subs made a big difference for Stanley.
Pleased we kept singing and believing on the Clayton end even when goals went in against us. With our tricky run in these wins are putting us in a great place to secure league one footy for another year and not worry about those late season fixtures. On stanley on.
