  • hi,I also knew Christine Cookson, as her brother married Pat Crossley, sister of my friend Jennifer Crossley!! Her rbother was a dentist with a practice on the corner of Whalley Rd and Queens Rd.. Susan Bradley I vaguely recall also... How d'you end up in Canada>!! Most of my younger years were spent globe-trotting, including crossing Africa south to North, then east to West, and visits to the Solomon Isles in the Pacific, plus the southern hemisphere continents. Accy certainly disseminated folk far and wide!!! Cheers, Jenny PS what is a GOD member?!
Hi Eric, thanks for your message - so, you never met? Im wondering who oyou are, in real time, as I find it quite confusiong with the site user names - can't work out if I knew people way back when, or locate them in time and space. Did you go to Central Prep school? Im up in Accy from 11th Sept for the High School Reunion - who knows? Did you know my friend Louise Wrigglesworth? She had a brother Billy, and a sister Pauline, both younger than us.. thanks for your sentiments about my sister... it really helps. All the best, Jenny
    Yo Eric,

Just been watching a programme on the BBC on Wolfe's battle on the Plains of Abraham. Not much i didn't already know, but if you ask kids now about the seven years war, they ain't a clue.

By the way, how did C.S.Sansom go? i'm just in the middle of Mantel's 'Wolf Hall'. A great read, but a bit heavy going.
    Hi Eric
I came over to Canada in 72 and still love being over here. I live at the opposite end of the lake to you and am enjoying drawing my 50 percent british pension.Last time I was in Britain was 2000 so am a bit out of touch as to what goes on there. I did my two years conscription into the army in 1960. Worst years of my life
    Pete
    Hi Eric,

I don't know if I've touched base before but I'm originally from Great Harwood and I live in Napanee.

    Fancy a meetup.
