Once I'd moved out of the YMCA, and into the house with the vicar and his family for a term, before moving into my own flat, which l think I wrote about in ' A Room of my Own', the next three years in Liverpool were fantastic.

The first year was a settling in and learning experience. In the second year we had the term spent in Europe, mainly in Paris and Milan, again I think l've already blogged that, had agreat time blah blah blah, modelled in Milandamoda for the Krizia fashion house because the old Nanna who owned it though l looked..............different?

What did l look like twenty years ago? Well the same height as now, just under six foot. My hair was longer and lighter, l remember wanting it to look like Christophet Lambert from the Greystoke films. I also remember wearing a lot of beige. Linen jackets, chinos, paisley patterned shirts l'd made, worn tieless and fastened with a broach. My face was quite beige as well, this being post new romatic, makeup being acceptable at the time, topped off with pearly white lippy, which l'd bought when l was skiing. Oh dear. Sounds appalling, but trust me at the time it was at the cutting edge of being 'in fashion'.

Maybe, now l have my scanner, l could illustrate my blog when l reminisce with photographic illustrations. Sadly there are some absloute corkers, on second thought perhaps not.

The second year at art school also so me elected as student representative on the Faculty bored out of the 200 or so other wannabes, even nicer was when I was elected a second year which had never happened before.

I won a couple of design competitions run by Smirnoff, Alexon, and Weatherall, which gave me either valuable work experience, money, or both. The money allowed me to do some great trips in the long two and a half month summer breaks.

Don't reallty know where this blog entry is going, ramble, ramble, so I'm going to stop.

Final year will follow sometime, fashion show etc., then the departure from the ivory tower.

Rindy........I am mesmerised.......I can see you now...don't bother with the pics. I bet you cut a real dash.
Oh, but on second thoughts if you know how to add pics to the blog, please let me in on the secret......would love to be able to do that little trick.
