2026/27 Squad??

As the Official website is not up to date, I have looked on the Interweb and asked around and this is the best I can come up with.....

That is where we are at, as we know Shaun has been given another season - good news I think :)

Of all the loan players, Ollie Wright was the stand out by some distance :)

Not too many surprises to be honest....

Cannot see the point in keeping Mooney, Grant hardly plays either??

I hope a deal can be struck with Seamus, though - along with Shaun - he cannot play forever.

Disappointed for Dan Martin, thought he never really got a settled chance in midfield.

Also surprised offering new contracts to Mooney, Popoola, and Grant who, imho, offered little, even when fit. Hope they all prove me wrong in 26/27.

Btw, thought Jimmy Knowles he was out on loan, but guess he left sometime.
 
Gutted for Dan Martin, although he's been plagued with injuries this season so might be down to.that - best of luck to him wherever he goes.
The others released, no surprises there & without sounding mean i'm glad Kelly's finally out of contract & on his way out - very disappointing signing from day one

It's all about opinions of course. Dan's injuries this year finally stifled any opportunity he had this season and with two other popular players playing in his position he was always going to struggle to cement a place. Probably just quite not good enough I'm sorry to say and without game time he didn't get a chance to improve. I used to sit next to Michaels Dad at games so may have a different view. Didn't settle early for a pro with experience and Ollie did so well in Goal for us and remained fit for all or nearly most of the season then Michael never got a chance to play a run of games. Same happened to him at MKDons so maybe he's just not got enough to be first choice keeper. I wish both players all the best, never heard a bad word about them while they were at Stanley.
 
Tyler still under contract, he needs to show some mprovement next season. His injury has stopped his developement. Also Popoola must improve. Not sure why he's not getting game time...not even on the bench even when available. I thought our strength was supposed to be improving youngsters. Seamus doing what he did at the end of last season....not accepting the contract offered and hoping for a better deal. Let's hope an agreement can be reached. I hope Kelsey recovers, he,'s been oit for such a long time

Regarding Seamus. I think you need to reconsider that. Seamus was released at the end of last season - he was not made an offer to reject. Then suddenly the club decides to back track made an offer and he ended up signing.
As for next season let's wait and see.

I hope your still getting to games.
 
And Tom Moore from Southport. Can't help feeling we're planning for the loss of Devon. Still, welcome aboard the good ship Stanley lads.
